Lucy Newlyn is a retired academic, who taught English for over thirty years at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, where she is now an Emeritus Fellow. In addition to academic books and articles on English Romanticism, she has published three collections of poetry: Ginnel (Carcanet, 2005), Earth’s Almanac (Enitharmon, 2015) and Vital Stream (Carcanet, 2019). She was for a number of years Literary Editor of the Oxford Magazine, and she co-founded the Hall Writers’ Forum. She lives and writes in Cornwall.
